Program offers plain talk about sex and STDs for young people

Sexually transmitted disease rates rose among all age groups in the city, from 452 per 100,000 people in 2014 to 497 per 100,000 in 2016. STD rates per 100,000 among young adults increased from 1,811 to 1,929 in the same period.

Funding announced for new housing developments

The Bronx Borough President’s office has allocated more than $3 million in capital funding for five housing developments, including $800,000 for The Peninsula on Spofford Avenue in Hunts Point and $500,000 for a new development at 111 Willow Avenue in Port Morris.
