Representatives from over 100 companies are expected to be in attendance at Hostos Community College for the 2020 LGBTQ+ Career Fair, which is set for Friday, March 20, beginning at 1 p.m.

In addition to networking opportunities with job recruiters, there will be six “career readiness” workshops and resume’ assistance, plus opportunities to speak with career coaches. Among the panels being advertised are ones that deal with how to dress for a job interview, best practices for looking for work, and how to set up a LinkedIn profile.

Another panel, hosted by senior mobile app developer Nelson Agholor, will explore ways to translate life experience into one’s career.

The event is being organized by Bronx borough president Ruben Diaz Jr., in association with the Third Avenue Business Improvement District, Destination Tomorrow – the Bronx LGBT Center, New York State Department of Labor, the Bronx Private Industry Council and the Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation.

Hostos Community College is located at 500 Grand Concourse, at the corner of E 149th Street, with all activities to be held in the gym and three adjacent rooms.

Admission is free. RSVP and further information can be found at https://2020lgbtqcareerfair.splashthat.com/
