City residents who live in the Bronx, work in the borough or have professional or other significant interests in the borough are encouraged to join their local community board. The period has begun for Bronxites to submit applications to one of the borough’s 12 boards.
Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. is especially encouraging young people ages 16 and 17 to apply for community board membership, to ensure that there is a least one youth member per community board.
“It is important to hear the voices of our youth when planning for our neighborhoods,” said Diaz.
Applications are available on the Borough Presidents website – bronxboropres.nyc.gov, the Community Board office at (718) 590-3913 or at local community board offices, when they reopen.
The deadline for submission of applications for the next round of appointments is February 5, 2021.
