Early voting starts today across the city, and extends through June 20. Election day is June 22.

This year, New Yorkers will vote for a new mayor, comptroller and public advocate.

Bronx voters can also cast their votes for a new borough president to replace Ruben Diaz Jr., who is stepping aside after serving in that capacity since 2009. Assemblywoman Nathalia Fernandez, City Council members Fernando Cabrera and Vanessa Gibson, State Sen. Luis Sepulveda and former police officer Samuel Ravelo make up the field of candidates.

Elections in the 8th and 17th City Council districts, which include Mott Haven/Port Morris and Hunts Point/Longwood/Melrose respectively, will pit heavily favored incumbents Diana Ayala and Rafael Salamanca Jr. against long shot political outsiders. Ayala faces Tamika Mapp, Manuel Onativia and Antoinette D. Glover, while Salamanca defends his seat against retired healthcare union representative Helen Hines.

The New York City Board of Elections website has all the information voters need about all the races, candidates and voting information.
