The MTA will hold a public meeting on Nov. 9 to resume where it left off 18 months ago in gathering public feedback to its redesign for bus routes in the Bronx.

The meeting will be held via zoom at 6pm on Tuesday, November 9 and broadcast on the MTA’s YouTube channel. It will provide riders an additional opportunity to comment on the proposed final plan that the MTA originally presented in February 2020.

Following the public input process from previous Bronx Bus Network Redesign meetings, the Bx28 and Bx34 are no longer proposed for route changes. Each route will remain on the path they currently travel.

If approved by the MTA Board, route changes are currently planned to be implemented in  the summer of 2022. Following implementation, the MTA will continue to monitor ridership patterns and incorporate any changes needed to better match bus service with current and future travel demands.

Read the proposed final plan here. Further information on the meeting can be found here.

Riders who would like to speak at the meeting need to register in advance at the MTA’s website or by calling 646-252-6777.
