A new, two-building development with 544 apartments is now open to renters, at 445 Gerard Avenue in Mott Haven.
The Estela features 380 market-rate and 164 affordable apartments, three blocks south of Hostos Community College. According to the website, rents range from $2,630 for studios to $4,494 for two-bedrooms. The mixed-use property also includes 9,000 square feet of retail space, outdoor spaces, lounge and game rooms, gyms and a children’s playroom.
The project’s developer, the Domain Companies, is handling leasing on site.
In-building parking includes eight EV charging stations, as well as solar panels to power the building. In another environment friendly, the complex is equipped to collect rainwater for landscaping the outdoor spaces.
