A four-building complex at 205 Brook Avenue will be the site of 95 Project-based Section 8 apartments.
Brookhaven Apartments, located a block away from the 6 train’s Brook Avenue station, will also feature two commercial spaces on the ground floor.
The Camber Property Group announced that it will partner with the nonprofit developer Settlement Housing Fund on the $32 million project, and will undertake capital improvements, such as the replacement of kitchen and bathroom fixtures in tenants’ apartments, and upgrading common areas. Additionally, the firm says it will address deferred maintenance in the four buildings and increase efficiency in both energy and water consumption.
So far this year, the Camber group has bought about 1,000 affordable units totaling $250 million, including 200 units of affordable housing, including Tiffany Apartments, with 200 units of affordable housing at 1081 Tiffany Street.
