Lincoln Hospital is slated to receive $2.9 million in capital funding to create a new call bell system for nurses.
The system was announced at a ceremonial check presentation on Jan. 7 from Councilman Rafael Salamanca Jr.
“Requests for nursing assistance from the hospital bed are critical to providing timely, accurate and patient-centered care,” said Lincoln’s Chief Nurse Executive Lillian Diaz, adding that the technologically sophisticated new system will “expedite the care a patient receives while they are in our care.”
Last year, FY20, Council Member Salamanca secured $884,000 for Lincoln for a new digital radiology suite in the emergency department.
